Core Solutions was founded in 1995 by Michael Hung and Tim Chiu, with the simple goal of building solutions that streamline business processes within and across organization boundaries.

Michael Hung

Chief Executive Officer

Michael Hung is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Core Solutions. Michael co-founded Core with Tim Chiu in 1995. As CEO, Michael spearheads all solutions and services strategy, leads key business initiatives and supports the operations of key business units along with his management team.

Michael led the development of Core Solutions' flagship iDEX e-Transaction software, which today are used by service providers and corporations such as Credit Suisse, Korean Exchange Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and Tradelink (Hong Kong).

Michael has worked in the IT industry for over 15 years. Prior to founding Core Solutions, he was a Consultant with the Lotus Consulting (now part of IBM) working with multinational corporations on inter and intra enterprise workflow systems. From 1990 to 1994, Michael was a technology consultant in TheTravelers (now St. Paul Travelers), where he was actively involved in Advance Technologies, Data Networking, Telephony, Performance and Capacity Planning, and Systems Development.

Theresa Yiu

Chief Operating Officer

Theresa Yiu is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Core Solutions. Theresa is in charge of worldwide operations, including consulting services, enterprise software, managed application services, corporate communications and human resources.

Theresa has a wealth of expertise in trade, trade services, information technology and general management. Prior to Core, Theresa spent two years with Bolero International, a leading financial supply chain solutions provider, responsible for Asia Pacific implementation and servicing of key Bolero customers such as the Otto Group and HSBC.

Prior to Bolero, Theresa dedicated 20 years of her career at Global Sources (listed on NASDAQ: GSOL). Global Sources is Asia's largest trade publishing company. It also owns Asia's largest international trade sourcing site. At Global Sources, Theresa successfully developed and managed the company's electronic commerce services, which accounts for about 50% of Global Sources' business today. Theresa held a number of senior management positions. In her last position being CTO, Theresa was responsible for key IT operations, design and execution of IT strategies, advising the management team on IT related investments and supported the company's IPO in 2000.

Tim Chiu

Managing Director, Greater China

Tim Chiu is a co-founder of Core Solutions and serves as Managing Director of the company's Greater China Operation. As Managing Director, Tim is responsible for business development, sales and servicing of clients in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

With over 14 years of experience in information technology, knowledge management and business process automation, Tim has helped many leading organizations implement mission critical systems in the United States and across Asia. In more recent years, Tim spearheaded the development of Core Solutions' highly successful supply chain and business intelligence consulting practice, which has helped customers such as Coca Cola, LimitedBrands, Schick, Taiwan Postal Services, Petronas and UBS.

Prior to founding Core Solutions in 1995, Tim was a pioneering member of Lotus Consulting (now part of IBM) as a senior consultant designing and managing system implementations for key customers in the company's enterprise clients like Johnson & Higgins, Jardine Fleming, Standard Chartered Bank and JP Morgan Chase.

Gregg Hackett

Director, Banking Sales and Services

Gregg Hackett is the Director Banking Sales and Service of Core Solutions. Gregg has responsibility for trade finance business solutions for the financial services sector including global /regional banks and finance companies. Gregg is also supporting development of our Trade Services enabling other trade services providers to conduct business seamlessly through the CBX platform.

Gregg brings to Core Solutions a wealth of trade banking and trade services expertise thanks to his years of experience working for leading trade banks. Gregg has nearly 30 years of experience in trade banking and trade services and is well positioned to develop alliances with trade banks and other trade services organizations.

Gregg possesses an enviable track record. He was Managing Director of Trade Able Solutions, where he worked closely with Vancouver-based Global Business Intelligence, providing consultancy to many leading financial services organizations in trade services strategies. Gregg was Director Asia Pacific at Proponix, a centralized trade processing center and data warehouse for banks. Prior to Proponix, Gregg was Head of Trade Services North Asia at Standard Chartered Bank, Head of Trade Sales at National Australia Bank and Head of Sales at Carrington Confirmers.

Howard Kellner

Director, Global Supply Chain Solutions

Howard Kellner is Director of Global Supply Chain Solutions at Core Solutions. Based in the New York area, Howard is responsible for sales and services for retail and consumer products sector.

Howard has a wealth of experience in international manufacturing and sourcing. Prior to Core Solutions, Howard was the Managing Director of The Apparel Sourcing Group, a management consulting company, representing factories and agents worldwide.

Prior to The Apparel Sourcing Group, Howard held executive positions in sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain management, product development, and quality assurance and quality control systems at a variety of brands such as London Fog, Perry Ellis, Calvin Klein, Warnaco, Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister.
